What Is the Oropouche Virus Found in US Travelers to Cuba?

U.S. health officials identify the Oropouche virus in 21 people who visited Cuba. About 8,000 local infections have been reported across Cuba, Bolivia, Brazil, Colombia and Peru. The virus can cause headache, high temperature, stomach problems and sensitivity to light. The virus is rarely deadly.
