UN: Myanmar Overtakes Afghanistan as World’s Top Opium Producer

A U.N. report says Myanmar has overtaken Afghanistan as the world’s top opium producer. The change came after Myanmar expanded its opium production for a third year, while Afghanistan’s fell sharply after a Taliban ban on poppy farming.
