New Rice May Help Farmers in Japan Face Climate Change
In Japan’s western Okayama Prefecture, a small group of rice farmers began their harvest two weeks earlier than usual. The farmers working there say that climate change is hurting the harvest of rice. The government is promoting the use of heat-resistant kinds of rice.
