Meta Ends Third-party Fact-Checking, Adds ‘Community Notes’ System
Meta is changing how it identifies misinformation and harmful material published on its Facebook, Instagram, and Threads services. Instead of using third-party, fact-checking organizations, the company will use a “Community Notes” system similar to social media service X.
