From Shining Shoes in Africa to a Seat in Italy’s Parliament

Aboubakar Soumahoro from Ivory Coast won a seat in Italy’s Parliament under from the Green and Left party in the September 25 national election. He said he will speak for the poor and those not normally included in politics, no matter their skin color.
