European and Japanese Spacecraft Examines Mercury’s Pole
The BepiColombo spacecraft with orbiters from the European Space Agency and Japan’s space agency flew close to the north pole of the Solar System’s innermost planet. Mercury is closest to the sun, but its poles are extremely cold.
