Drug Trials Often Do Not Include Overweight People
More than 40 percent of American adults are considered obese, or medically overweight. But drug trials often do not include obese people. If drugs are not studied in a condition that affects almost half of the U.S. population, experts say the real-world effects can be extremely serious or urgent.
