News broadcaster : And our final story tonight. As part of her drive to modernize the city, the mayor of Paris has commissioned an exhibition presenting ‘the city of the future’. With cities increasing their carbon emissions year on year, the visual spectacle is intended to offer an alternative idea for how we can combat climate change.
This visionary exhibition imagines a world where driverless electric buses are the norm, and everybody sharing transport around the city. Not stopping there, the piece offers a tantalizing glimpse of future urban biodiversity, with high rising apartment buildings covered from head to toe in plants and trees, as a way of combatting carbon emissions.
Attendees will also be able to reimagine schools, with the exhibit showing new age, open buildings full of outdoor park spaces. To cap it off, there will be robotic waste bins which immediately decompose any waste, using new age technology to turn the waste into compost material.
Whether it is pie in the sky or a piece of genius, one thing you cannot fault is their ambition! That’s all we have time for on the 10 o’clock news, good night!
