Emily : So, thank you for coming down to test out the commercial for the new solar panels, we really appreciate it! During this focus group, don’t hold back! So what are your thoughts?
Kate : Well, to be honest, I thought it was far too cheesy. I mean ‘Solar panels that help your energy live long and prosper’? I mean, under no circumstances I would have that, plastered on my roof.
Emily : OK, right. We appreciate all kinds of feedback. I will pass that on to the marketing team. What about the music, did it make you want to buy the product?
Michele : I have to say that the music was rather catchy. It’s the kind of song that sticks in your head which is a good thing. The acting however? Awkward, to say the least.
Emily : OK… I understand it wasn’t an Oscar-worthy performance. I will pass that on to the production team! Anything that we could improve?
Pippa:  Well, I don’t know about the others, but I loved everything about it! I mean yes it makes you want to cringe, but I think you’ve got your branding spot on. It’s the type of ad I could imagine on TVs everywhere. Love it or hate it, I think people will definitely remember the product.
Emily : Well that’s great to hear! Indeed we were really keen to make the advert fun and not take ourselves too seriously. We appreciate all your feedback, and we will do everything we can to improve the advert. Thank you.
