Linking words
To connect sentences and ideas, we use linking words.
Some examples :
– Although / Even though = despite (Despite not being married for long, we are having a baby).
– So = for this reason (The baby will be born in two weeks so there’s not too long to wait).
– And (I like horses and dogs).
– Moreover = formal way of saying “and”.
– Also = and (I like horses but I also like dogs).
– Because (of) (I’m late because the train was not on time).
– As = because
– But (I am sick but I’ll be better tomorrow).
– However = but
