Michele : Despite the circumstances, it was a beautiful service. I’m glad we went to support Henry at his father’s funeral.
Paul : I was impressed by the number of people there !
Michele : Many colleagues from his time in the police force. He must have been a very popular and well-respected man.
Paul : Did they say he used to work in Kingston ?
Michele : He may have done. He moved around a lot during his time in the police force. I couldn’t hear the speeches very well from the back of the church.
Paul : I ask because my uncle worked in the police in Kingston, remember ? I wondered if they knew each other or even worked together.
Michele : Why don’t you give him a call ? You haven’t spoken to him in a long time. I’m sure he’d be pleased to hear from you.
Paul : Why wasn’t Henry’s sister there ?
Michele : I don’t know. They did have a big fall out a few years ago, and perhaps they haven’t gotten over it yet. It’s a shame.
