Pippa : Hello, what can I get you ?
Hannah : Hello, I’d like a cup of tea please.
Pippa : Anything else ?
Hannah : And a cookie, thanks.
Kate : Oh, hello, Mrs Smart.
Hannah : Hello Kate ! How long have you been working here ?
Kate : Not long, I’ve only been working here for two months since I started the music course. It helps me pay the rent.
Hannah : How wonderful. And are you enjoying it ?
Kate : Yes, I actually love meeting the customers and the food is amazing !
Well, this is my music teacher at the university. Mrs Smart, this is Pippa, she owns the coffee shop.
Pippa and Hannah : Pleased to meet you.
Hannah : And how long have you owned this coffee shop ?
Pippa : Well I worked here for 2 years, and I’ve owned it since 2018.
Hannah : And how is it going ?
Pippa : Very well. We’re located near the university, so we get a lot of students and staff. How long have you worked at the university ?
Hannah : A long time. Since the 90s ! This used to be a small book shop. But many book shops close because nowadays everyone orders online. It’s good to see that the place has been transformed.
Kate : Well, I’d better go. There are some new customers, so see you soon !
Hannah : Bye !
