We can use it when :
– We don’t know who did the action (eg. The cleaning is done.)
– It is clear who did the action (eg. The cleaning is done by the cleaner.)
How to form the simple present passive :
– Affirmative form : Object + to be + past participle (eg. The cleaning is done by the cleaner.)
– Negative form : Object + to be + not + past participle (eg. The cleaning isn’t done by the cleaner.)
– Question form : To be + object + past participle (eg. Is the cleaning done by the cleaner ?)
