First conditional
The first conditional is used to talk about things that may happen in the future. We use it to describe future possibilities. (eg. If I win the lottery, I will be rich or I will be rich if I win the lottery.)
How to form the first conditional : CONDITION
– Affirmative form : Condition (if) + subject + present simple —> If I win.
– Negative form : Condition + subject + auxiliary + not + present simple —> If I don’t win.
– Question form : What + condition + subject + present simple —> What if I win ?
How to form the first conditional : RESULT
– Affirmative form : Subject + will / be going to + present simple—> I will / am going to be rich.
– Negative form : Subject + will / be not going to + not + present simple —> I won’t / am not going to be rich.
