Making social arrangements
When making social arrangements, here are some useful sentences that you can use :
– Do you fancy … ? (eg. Do you fancy going for a drink?)
– Are you free at … ? (eg. Are you free at 8 o’clock?)
– Let’s … (eg. Let’s go to the cinema!)
If you think that you are going to be late, you can suggest a different time by saying :
– Can we meet later, to be on the safe side.
– Do you mind if we meet later ? Just to make sure that I’m on time.
