Doctor & patient after consultation

Dr Smith : So, there are two things to do.  First, you need to have a blood test.  The nurse who sits next to the reception can do it for you.  And we should have the results this afternoon. Now, secondly, we’re going to refer you to a specialist.  I have included all the details of your consultation in your file, and I’ll include the results from the blood test from this afternoon. So, here is Dr Brown’s cellphone number, you can phone him on my behalf.  He doesn’t always answer straight away, so, you can leave him a voicemail message.
Pippa : Ok, do I need to take anything with me for Dr. Brown ?
Dr Smith : Everything he needs is in the system.  He can access your file from the surgery.
Pippa : Oh! That’s great.  This new system must save you a lot of time!
Dr Smith : Yes, it definitely helps to reduce the paper work ! And it’s also helped us to be more efficient for planning appointments.  I love my new touchscreen! But there are always two sides to the coin. It’s technology that has caused, in part at least, an increase in diabetes and heart disease because people are not as active as before.
Pippa : You’re right.  I decided to walk here today instead of taking my car!
Dr Smith : Well, that’s a very good start. So, here’s your prescription for some medicine that will reduce your blood pressure.  And don’t forget to see the nurse on your way out for your blood test.
Pippa : Thank you Doctor.
Dr Smith : Have a good day!
Pippa: You too.
