Emily : So, have you any holiday plans for the summer?
Paul : Yes, we’re planning of going to Wales for a week.
Emily : Wales? I’ve never been there. What’s it like?
Paul : It’s very rural, so if you’re into the big city life, you won’t find much there. But the countryside is really beautiful, and the people are really friendly.
Emily : Have you been there before?
Paul : Oh yeah, we’ve been a few times.
Emily : So, what’s the plan? Are you travelling around, or staying in one place?
Paul : No we’re renting a cottage with some friends and we’re planning on doing some hiking and maybe a couple of nights of camping.
Emily : Ooh! Sounds very exciting. Not my thing, though—I prefer a more relaxing vacation.
Paul : Have you got plans?
Emily : Well, I’d like to go somewhere hot and just lie on the beach for a week. I’m not sure I can get the time off work, though.
Paul : Oh that would be too bad.
Emily : Yeah… Are there any beaches in Wales?
Paul : There are, but I’m not sure you’d like them much.
Emily : How come?
Paul : Well, they’re really beautiful, but they’re pretty windy, so if you’re planning lying on the beach—you’d get cold!
Emily : Hmm, yeah, doesn’t sound like fun to me.
Anna : I’m going to France to visit my family. My parents have a house in St Tropez ! It’s not by the beach, but there’s a swimming pool. Why don’t you join me ?
Emily : That sounds amazing ! I’ll have to ask the boss for holidays !
Anna : I can’t wait for a holiday !
