Emily : So, how was your trip to New York ?
Courtney : Wonderful ! We visited so many places ! But New York is so big ! We rode the subway a lot. I’m from a small city, so I don’t like crowds. During rush hour, it was so full so we didn’t ride on the subway during these times. One day, it was so crowded that we actually got off the subway. We walked ten blocks to our hotel !
Emily : Why didn’t you take a taxi or the bus ?
Courtney : The taxis were so expensive, and I didn’t understand the bus routes !
But didn’t you go to New York last year ?
Emily : Oh no, it wasn’t me. I hate flying. I don’t mind short distances, 2 hours maximum, but I can’t do more than that ! I never took the plane when I was a child, so now I’m afraid. I just can’t relax ! I prefer travelling by train.
Courtney : Me, I hate travelling by boat, especially when there is a storm. I often get sea sick !
Emily : Lucky you didn’t take the boat to New York !
