Using prepositions with directions

Next to  ⇒  On the side of  ⇒  My house is next to the chicken shop
Opposite  ⇒  Facing  ⇒  My house is opposite the cinema (the cinema is facing the house on the other side of the road).
On the corner of  ⇒  When 2 streets intersect  ⇒  My house is on the corner of the road.
Straight on  ⇒  Continue in the same direction you’re going in  ⇒  Go straight on to the end of the road!
To the right/left of  ⇒  When it’s beside something obvious  ⇒  My house is to the left of the café.
