Michele : Welcome to the city of Clermont-Ferrand. Clermont-Ferrand is the capital of the Auvergne. It’s famous for short films, rock music, and rugby.

The French city has an exceptional location surrounded by many volcanoes. The town is a short distance from the famous volcano, Puy de Dome. There are many « black » monuments in the city made of volcanic stone, for example, the Gothic cathedral in the centre of the city. There is also a famous Basilica registered on the UNESCO World Heritage list. Clermont-Ferrand is the home to Michelin.  And to a great rugby team called ASM !

There are many museums, including two art galleries, a volcano park and a natural history museum. There are many festivals such as the short film festival, a European music festival and many more.

It’s easy to come to Clermont-Ferrand.  There’s an airport, a train station and the motorways are good if you prefer to come by car. There are many houses and apartments for rent or sale, and they are cheaper than in other big cities.  The quality of life here is excellent.
