Michele to family : 

Michele : So the fridge is empty. I have to go shopping tomorrow and I’m making a list now. What does everyone want to eat this week ?
Paul : I’d like some burgers please. And can you get some french fries too ?
Michele : We can have one burger night. What about some fruit and vegetables ?
Paul : I don’t like vegetables, but I do like fruit. Can you add apples and bananas to the list please ?
Lizzie : Oh and kiwis too please !
Michele : Good, nice healthy food. I thought about making a big pie with chicken and mushrooms on Thursday.
Joe : Oh please, no mushrooms !
Michele : Bacon ?
Paul : Yes, bacon would be lovely !
Michele : And what about spaghetti bolognese for Tuesday night? What do we need for spaghetti bolognese : pasta, an onion, a clove of garlic, minced beef, a jar of tomato sauce… and some grated parmesan. And what about pizza for Wednesday night ?
Paul & Lizzie : Oh yes please.
Michele : Hawain ? With ham and pineapples ?
Joe : Oh no, that’s disgusting. I prefer BBQ flavour ! There’s some meat, onions, red peppers. That’s delicious !
Michele : Well, I’ll buy a margherita pizza as well. Lizzie, can you check in the fridge please : Do we need any milk?
Lizzie : Yes we do.
Michele : Right, so we will get 3 pints of milk. Do we have any bread?
Lizzie : No, we don’t.
Michele : Okay, so 2 loaves of bread. What about drinks ?
Lizzie : We have one bottle of Coca Cola and one carton of fruit juice.
Michele : Right so I’ll add drinks to the list : 2 bottles of sparkling water and some fruit juice.
Paul : And can we add 6 bottles of beer. Dave is coming around to watch the match later and we need some beer !
Michele : Right, let’s just stick to essentials…
Paul : Beer is essential !
Michele : Do we have any eggs ?
Lizzie : Yes, we do. We have 2 eggs.
Michele : Oh that’s not enough ! I want to make a cake. Right. Well, let’s get a dozen eggs.
Joe : Can we buy some yoghurt please ? I love the strawberry flavour.
Michele : OK, almost done. We need to add some vegetables : I’ll add carrots and peas. And we need to get some cereal for breakfast. Right, that’s it. Who’s coming with me to the shops ?
