We can use degrees of time and adverbs of frequency to help express routines and habits.
Degrees of time
Subject + Verb + Degree of time
Every day ⇒ I go to the supermarket every day.
Once a week ⇒ I go to zumba class once a week.
Twice a week ⇒ We go out for lunch twice a week.
Three times a week ⇒ I work at home three times a week.
Once = one time
Twice = two times
Adverbs of frequency
Subject + Adverb of frequency + Verb
Sometimes ⇒ I sometimes go to zumba class.
Never ⇒ I never read the newspaper.
Hardly ever ⇒ I hardly every go on holiday.
Usually ⇒ I usually go to the gym on Sundays.
Often ⇒ I often wake up late.
