Describing people
We use adjectives to describe people and their traits.
APPEARANCE = how someone looks
Beautiful (usually for women) ⇒ She was a beautiful person.
Handsome (usually for men) ⇒ He is so handsome.
Thin ⇒ I am very thin
Tall ⇒ I am very tall
Chubby ⇒ He is not very thin. He is chubby.
Muscular/Stocky ⇒ He is not very thin. He is muscular.
CHARACTER = what a person is like (their personality).
Polite ⇒ I like people to be polite when speaking.
Friendly ⇒ I am very friendly.
Rude ⇒ I don’t like people to be rude (opposite of polite).
Lazy ⇒ I am very lazy (opposite of energetic).
Generous ⇒ He is very generous, he buys me lots of things.
Relaxed ⇒ She is relaxed and easy-going.
Intelligent ⇒ He is very intelligent, he knows so much about history !
