Using ‘when’ with the Past Simple
When you are talking about an event in the past or want to talk about the duration of an action you can use ‘WHEN‘.
If you are talking about a specific date then use ‘in’ otherwise use ‘when’:
eg: We moved to France in 2015 (use ‘in’ because we are talking about a date).
eg: We moved to France when Laura was 2 years old / We moved to France when the De Gaulle was elected president.
