Kate and Alexandra in a coffee shop

Kate : So where did you go on holiday last summer ?
Alexandra : I went to Portugal to visit a friend. He is a chef in a restaurant there. He has an amazing house.
Kate : What did you do there?
Alexandra : Nothing ! It was very relaxing ! He has a swimming pool so we went swimming every day ! The weather was so hot. We sometimes went to the beach. Then, we cooked a barbecue for dinner or went to the restaurant.
Kate : I prefer adventure holidays.
Alexandra : Where did you go in your last holiday ?
Kate : Well, I went to Tibet with some friends. We went backpacking and hiking for 10 days. We slept in tents every night and the landscape was beautiful.
Alexandra : What was the weather like ?
Kate : During the day, it wasn’t very hot but at night it was very cold. One morning, we woke up and there was snow!
Alexandra : I love snow ! Did you go skiing ?
Kate : No, not in Tibet. But I go to the Alps every winter !
Alexandra : I prefer snowboarding. We go to the Alps every year.
Kate : I went to the Alps last winter. The off-piste was excellent !
Alexandra : I stay on the piste… and I love the food and « mulled wine » !
