How to choose ?
THIS AND THESE
We use this (singular) and these (plural) as pronouns, to talk about people or things near us.
EXAMPLES:
I would like to buy this phone.
I would like to buy these shoes.
THAT AND THOSE
We use that (singular) and those (plural) as pronouns to talk about things that are not near us :
EXAMPLES:
Can I have this croissant, and that drink ?
Can I buy these shoes, and those sunglasses ?
