Kate : I need to write a CV because I saw an ad for a Saturday job and I think it would be really interesting!
Lizzie : Oh well, what’s the job?
Kate : Well, it’s a coffee shop next to where I live and they’re looking for someone to help them on Saturdays. I think I’ll be perfect and I’ll still have time to study!
Lizzie : Well, you’re right, that sounds great!
Kate : Yes but I don’t know what to put in my CV…
Lizzie : Oh well, I can help you with that because I had to write a CV last month. So, let me see… First you write down your personal details.
Kate : Name and address?
Lizzie : Yes, and also your phone number and email address. Then after that you write down your educational qualifications.
Kate : So high school diploma.
Lizzie : Yes, but also your specialisation, you did languages right?
Kate : Yes, I did. I could put that I speak English, French and Russian fluently?
Lizzie : Yes, and also write down that you know a little bit of Spanish. Then you can write down your computer skills, on Word and Excel as well.
Kate : Yes. I could also put that I used to work at a supermarket during the winter. And that I used to work at a bar in Spain during the summer holidays.
Lizzie : Yes, and also say that you have your driving license, because that can be super useful !
Kate : OK, OK… What about hobbies?
Lizzie : Oh yes, I guess you could write down that you like dancing and playing the piano, just don’t mention the fact that you talk to your friends until late at night!
