AI Tool Aims to Predict Virus Variants before They Appear
Researchers say they built an AI tool that can predict different virus versions before they appear. In experiments, the tool successfully predicted how the SARS-CoV-2 virus that causes COVID-19 would mutate over time. The team hopes to use the tool to also predict mutations of other common viruses.
