China Proposes Law to Make Marriage Easier, Divorce Harder
China has proposed a new law to make it easier to register marriages, but more difficult to divorce. Officials said the measure aims to help build a “family friendly society” as Chinese officials struggle to get young couples to marry and have children as the country’s population falls.
