NASA’s First Asteroid Samples Arrive on Earth

A capsule carrying asteroid material captured in space has arrived safely on Earth. NASA’s Osiris-Rex spacecraft collected the asteroid sample in October 2020. Officials say the material – dating back 4.5 billion years – is expected to help scientists better understand how Earth and life formed.
