Russia, China Block Plans for Antarctic Ocean Protections
Representatives from around the world met in a meeting which ended in Australia to discuss the future of Antarctica’s waters. While a measure to protect krill was reached, Russia and China blocked plans to protect large areas of ocean waters around Antarctica from fishing.
